Every year the All Party Parliamentary Internet Group runs a number of Parliamentary receptions and dinners bringing together industry representatives with key decision makers within Parliament to discuss issues of the day. In addition APIG also runs a number of parliamentary discussion forums helping industry communicate with politicians influencing Government policy on a wide variety of IT related subjects such web accessibility and digital content.
Recently the group has decided to cover issues in greater detail producing parliamentary reports on current IT issues such as data retention, spam and the Computer Misuse Act. In November 2005, APIG launched an inquiry into the issues surrounding Digital Rights Management and a report was produced in June 2006. For more details, visit the Digital Rights Management Inquiry page.
Details of previous APIG meetings, events and reports can be found in the archive section.
